I was going to do the Relay for Life in my town, but we had a lot of problems. First was the weather: cold, rain, wind and heavy mist. Then my team, like several others, had no tent so we had no place to put our gear. Finally, my asthma reacted badly to the weather and I got sent home early. It's the first time I wasn't able to complete the relay and I was really annoyed. At least we raised a lot of money.
Ignore the mood emoticon. I can't seem to change it at the moment.
Things have been a bit screwed up since I moved in August. No work and limitations on compy will do that, I guess. Being here is not very conducive to making art anyway. Definitely not with many losses and illnesses in the community and family. Family that does not understand an interest in anime or games or need for compy time doesn't help either. Small town life sucks when there isn't anything to do. After arriving, I learned that the only theater in driving range had closed so no luck there.
In general, it's been a depressing time. I'm still hoping to find work soon. Maybe then I'll feel less like I'm living in a cage.
